What is an S-Roll (Squeezing Roller)?
It is a unit consisting of two rollers used in textile machines (dyeing, washing, and finishing lines) to remove excess water or chemicals from wet fabric by squeezing. The fabric is passed between the two rollers and squeezed homogeneously. The squeezing process achieves both energy savings (the drying time is shortened) and ensures the even penetration of chemicals into the fabric.

Technical Specifications :

Diameters: Generally between 200–400 mm. Pressure: 1–10 bar (hydraulic or pneumatic). Covering: Natural rubber, nitrile, EPDM, or polyurethane coating is applied. Speed Synchronization: Works in synchronization with the machine line; must not slip.

Duties :

Moisture Removal: Removes excess water from the fabric. Homogeneity: Ensures even penetration of chemicals into the fabric after impregnation. Energy Efficiency: Allows drying ovens to consume less energy. Fabric Control: Prevents deformation caused by excessive wetness.

Removing Excess Liquid:

Removes the liquid phase of unnecessary water or chemical solution from the fabric by squeezing.

Ensuring Homogeneous Impregnation:

Ensures even distribution so that no excess liquid remains on the fabric surface after chemical applications, resulting in homogeneous finishing or processing. Drying Efficiency:

Since the moisture content in the fabric is reduced, less energy is consumed in the drying ovens, and the processing time is shortened. Improving Quality:

Ensures the fabric progresses with a constant moisture ratio throughout the process, preventing defects such as waves, stains, or marks. Supporting Production Speed:

The fabric moves to the next process faster without excessive wetness.
